MAKO ROAD formed while at the University of Canterbury, Mako Road is a relaxed-indie outfit from Christchurch, New Zealand. Beginning as a covers band playing at University events and parties, the 4 boys eventually developed their own sound influenced by a range of genres, leading them to release 3 singles in 2017, and their debut EP ‘The Green Superintendent’ in early 2018. They like genie pants, denim, turtlenecks and dad sandals. MASAYA from Raglan NZ, a fresh homegrown funky train that never stops grooving. Mako Road

Jon Toogood unplugs the Marshall stacks and dusts of his acoustic guitar.
2018 has been a loud one for Toogood, between recording, releasing and touring critic and fan-favourite album “Haja” with The Adults and celebrating thirty years of Shihad by touring Australasia with the boys! Now, freshly armed with yarns and tunes both young and old (spanning two Adults albums, three decades of Shihad and an undisclosed duration on this Planet of Sound), this is Toogood unplugged, unaccompanied and unmasked.

It’s classical music, but it’s wearing boots to the party so dress casual, bring a compadre, and enjoy the ride.
