Leigh News & Events
As a second half guest at our February folk club we will be visited by storyteller/social commentator/musician Keith Levy. Don’t know much about Mr. Levy, but he’s absolutely hilarious on the phone, so I reckon we’re in for a good evening!

Acoustic Duo, Kim and Dusty, have been bringing their whisky harmonies to Wellingtonians since November 2013 when Dusty moved to Brooklyn, the heart of the Wellington’s country music scene.
The duo play a blend of Country, Blues, Bluegrass and Folk. Audiences are captivated by their tight harmonies and easygoing nature onstage. Kim and Dusty always deliver something for everyone with dirty blues, lonesome ballads and high paced bluegrass standards. Regular performers at several venues around Wellington they also make time to tour to other towns around the lower North Island.
Kim and Dusty also play alongside Rob Joass and Hamish Graham as the Hardcore Troubadours.
Kim and Dusty may or may not be supported by The Pipi Pickers. But given how these things go, they probably will.
More info to come.

Dr. John Egenes will play a full concert at Whangateau Hall. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, John is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, saddlemaker, author and senior lecturer of contemporary music at Otago University. John spent decades on the American folk scene, as a session musician for countless artists. John stumbles through this life making mistake after mistake. His motto is, “You don’t learn anything from your successes…”
