The Leigh Volunteer Fire Brigade would love the community to join us on the 15th September 2018 between 2pm – 4pm for an open day viewing @ The Leigh Fire Station.We will also be having a sausage sizzle and refreshments.

Join Warkworth Area Forest & Bird members on a walk from the Ti Point Wharf to the headland. Gather at the Ti Point Wharf carpark at 10.30am. Bring a picnic lunch. Wear good shoes as this track is rough in places.
The awesome Leigh Summer Festival is on again – Feb 9th. Please spread the word & if you would like to have a market stall at this exciting summer event, please email expressions of interest to: leighsummerfestival@gmail.com
We are offering 3x3m stall spaces.
There will be live music, a varied & top quality market, delicious food including fish burgers, a real hangi, a bar, ice slide etc.
*Please note we are not looking for food or drink stalls, as the school will be covering these products.

Tawharanui Open Sanctuary Society Inc (TOSSI) invite you to join our planning day.
Come and help plant some of this years 15,000 trees and shrubs. Bring strong boots/shoes, gloves, drinks and a raincoat. As usual, we will be providing a delicious barbecue after the planting.

A Scavenger Hunt and Face painting will begin from Leigh School starting from 4pm until 6pm, so come and join between then! Gold coin donation which is going straight to Leigh School.

Bring your torch and a pen as there is lots of fun to be had. The amazing community we have here in Leigh is right behind the event.
As part of the Mahurangi Festival of Lights which will run during the July school holidays, there will be a special Leigh Day on Friday 12 July. More information will be posted later.

The Leigh Volunteer Fire Brigade will be doing their yearly Santa Run on Christmas Eve. Whangateau to Leigh. Listen out for the fire truck siren and the Ho Ho Ho!

Leigh Community Preschool Gala
Discover what’s under the sea at Leigh Community Preschool Gala
Leigh Preschool Gala will be an event filled day with magic, bouncy castles, raffles, pre-loved treasures, a photo booth and lots of marine life. Joy for all members of the family with gourmet food, a selection of drinks and live music.
Leigh Preschool is passionate about the marine environment and this year there will be a Marine Discovery Station with interactive displays and a touch tank. The Leigh Marine Laboratory and local artist have come together to create a beautiful under water environment.
Leigh Preschool Gala will be held on the 27th October, Labour weekend Sunday from 10am to 4pm at Leigh School Fields. The money raised will be used to upgrade Preschool’s outdoor space.
