LEIGH recorded the highest annual average temperature for 2011

NIWA ANNUAL CLIMATE SUMMARY 2011

The Niwa statistics for 2011 have shown Leigh, with an average temperature of 16.7deg C, to be New Zealand's warmest town.
Luckily there are plenty of beautiful beaches to cool off when the temperature reaches the highest. Snorkel with the fishes at Goat Island, swim at Matheson Bay, enjoy the solitude of Pakiri Beach, Tawharanunui's beautiful ocean beach, Omaha Beach or other nearby places. May the sun keep shining!
